1. Lifetime commitment

- when you get a cat or kitten you are making a commitment for the rest of its life, which could be 15–18 years or so. Can’t handle that? Don’t get a cat!
2. Cats have a feelings

- A cat is a sentient being. It thinks, it feels, it is something to love and respect and consider as it can experience pleasure and suffering just like you and I can.
3. Do not declaw cat

- Declawing often results in behavioural problems and is just like cutting off your fingers at the last joint just before the fingernail. It makes walking painful for a cat. Cats need their claws. They need to scratch. Make or buy a scratching post and reward your cats for using it. It’ll save your furniture.
4. Taurine is important to cat

- Cats are “obligate carnivores”, your cat will need to eat red meat. The taurine in the red meat is essential to a cat’s well-being. Do not try to turn your cat into a vegetarian or a vegan. Cats are cats, not people.
- Cats need the taurine from red meat. If you feed a cat a vegetarian or vegan diet you will kill it.
- Cherries, grapes and raisins are toxic to cats.
5. Neutering / spying is necessary

- Stray cats are a major problem in a number of neighbourhoods. Unwanted breeding can occur between your cat and stray cat that obviously you dont like so ,Spaying a cat is important.
6. Basic requirements of cat

- Along with the cat you will likely need a food dish, water bowl, litter box, litter, probably nail clippers (to nip off the very ends of the claws every 2–3 weeks), a cat carrier, a warm bed for the cat to sleep in, and safe toys. You’ll also need to designate a safe place for your cat to stay, likely a room you don’t use very often.
7. Important things you should do routinely

- I have recommended that you clip a cat’s nail ends, groom it, clean its ears, and clean it’s teeth. If you do these things from the time you get your car onwards your cat will get used to this procedure.
8. Vet for cat

- With getting a cat you have to find out best vet for your cat. Routinely vet visit is important. Vet will do general body check up of your cat and found out anything wrong and treat it so, your cat be healthy always.
